I will write my experience with the US visa.so, maybe someone find it useful. I took B1/B2 visa from the first attempt to attend a clinical elective at GWU hospital. I brought all the required documents (acceptance letter, details about bank account, aletter from my university states that am medical student and I have to return to graduate).The interviw was for a couple of minutes he was asking me why you are going? where is your birth place and he checked the countries where I travelled, I got Schingen visa twice and I think this helped me to obtain a US visa. My advice is be confident, Smile, Friendly as much as you can. best of luck for all.
